A Heartfelt Update for Our Vendors and Community

Dear Daggabay Vendors and Supporters,

We want to take a moment to reach out to all of you, our incredible vendors who helped build the multi-vendor marketplace we once ran with so much passion.

It’s with a heavy heart that we share the news of its closure, and we owe you an explanation, along with our deepest apologies for how things have turned out.

When we started this journey, our goal was to create a thriving space for cannabis enthusiasts and small businesses alike a platform where vendors could shine and customers could discover unique, quality products.

You were the heartbeat of that vision, and we’re so grateful for the trust you placed in us.

But as the cannabis industry has evolved, so too have the challenges we faced in keeping that dream alive.

Cannabis is becoming more mainstream every day, which is exciting in so many ways.

However, with that shift, we’ve seen bigger players—like Takealot, Temu, and other large suppliers step into the space, offering shipping options and economies of scale that our vendors simply couldn’t compete with.

Despite our best efforts to adapt and innovate, it became clear that maintaining the multi-vendor marketplace wasn’t sustainable for us or fair to you.

We tried to pivot with initiatives like the Cannabis Map, hoping to connect people in new ways, but we hit another roadblock: privacy laws and the ethos of private clubs.

We firmly believe that private communities should remain just that private and we couldn’t reconcile that with the direction the map was taking. So, we made the tough call to step back from that too.

This isn’t the end of Daggabay, though it’s a return to our roots.

We’re refocusing on what we’ve always loved most: writing, creating videos, and educating people about cannabis.

Our mission has always been to share knowledge, spark curiosity, and build a community around this incredible plant, and we’re excited to pour our energy back into that.

You’ll see us diving deeper into content think guides, tutorials, and stories that inspire and inform.

We’re committed to making this next chapter the best yet.

To our vendors: we’re truly sorry for the way this chapter closed. You took a chance with us, and we’ll always be thankful for your partnership.

While we step away from the multi-vendor marketplace, we don’t want to leave you without options.

There are still plenty of places where you can showcase your amazing products platforms like Etsy, Takealot, or even specialized cannabis friendly marketplaces like Leafly Market or Weedmaps might be worth exploring.

For those of you with a strong local presence, farmers’ markets or pop up events could also be a great way to connect directly with customers.

We hope you’ll stick around to see what’s next because there’s so much more to come. Watch this space, because Daggabay is far from done. We’re just getting started again, and we can’t wait to share it with you.

With gratitude and green vibes,
The Daggabay Team
